Meet Gabby!!

January 24, 2014
Today, I want to introduce you to someone that truthfully, I really don’t know. Well, I don’t know her in the way that I’ve never actually met her in person. So, first let me tell you how I “found” Gabby.

DH and I were late to the Pinterest game. This shouldn’t shock anyone as we are generally late to most everything. He he. Anyway, we leapt onto Pinterest and began pinning. Well, one day DH texts me and says: “Hey babe I just found this girl on Pinterest and you should totally follow her. You’d love all of her pins. It freaks me out how much she reminds me of you.” He had pinned something from Gabby on weightlifting that had come from the “Everything” board, and then Pinterest prompted him to her other Pin boards.

He, of course, is always looking for new and harder ways to workout so he scanned her workout pins. It was in her other boards that he found things he knew I would love. Well, that was many, many months ago.

One day, I logged onto Pinterest to see that she’s pinned a video from her own blog. I immediately opened it and watched her tell her story. By the time she finished, I was in tears. She is just absolutely incredible. She has lost 120 lbs. and kept it off!! She lost almost HALF of her body weight.

I began reading her blogs and not only did she have some outstanding ideas on how to lose weight and keep it off, but her success story just inspired me. I heard so much of myself in her weight loss story. I’d experienced so many of the things she discussed in my own weight loss. Well, you know me. I’m rather introverted, so I continued to read her blogs but never contacted her.

The new year dawned, and I saw so many posts on people trying to lose weight. I kept thinking oh I so wish they could read Gabby’s blog! Well, I worked up the courage to email her and ask her if I could feature her blog on my blog.

First, let me say that Gabby is just as sweet as she could possibly be. She happily shared some more of her story with me, and I cannot tell you how impressed I am. So, today, I want you to immediately go to Gabby’s blog and share in her success. You can’t help but be motivated and inspired by her! She’s simply amazing, and her journey through 120 pounds is astounding.

She offers realistic goals, ways to help you through tough situations when it comes to making a weight loss life change, and her blogs are funny and completely relatable. If you’re looking to make a change this year, then I cannot recommend Gabby’s blogs enough! Click the link and go check them out. You won’t regret it!!

And here are just a few before and after pictures of Gabby's incredible journey:

Do you know what I see when I look at those pictures? I, of course, see that she went through a dramatic weight loss, but I see so much more. Maybe it's because I have been where she was and hope to be where she is today, but I see the light in her eyes when she's in her husband's arms. I see the big, beautiful, bright smile now, that wasn't there before. Her incredible journey took off the weight, but so much more important is what she gained. I can tell you from my own experience the life you gain when you lose the weight is worth each and every cookie you skip! Every healthy choice you make is driving you towards life. It takes you to better a marriage, energy to spend time with your kids, energy to do everything you've ever dreamed of doing. Take it from Gabby and I, there is nothing that tastes as good as that!!!
